I was inspired to create this piece in honor of my journey up to the top of a mountain at Big Bend National Park. That day, I wore a shirt that had a peace sign on it, and every person that walked past me on the trail gave me the peace sign. It made me so happy and was a beautiful reminder of how small but significant connections with others can change an entire experience. I was so full of life once I reached the top - it felt like a HUGE accomplishment. I made this medallion to honor the feeling of peace and accomplishment.
