Hi! I’m Lys

I’ll be your beadwork guide. My beadwork journey started almost 8 years ago when I was invited to a beadwork circle while living in Canada. I was taught a beginner technique and I was hooked! Since then, I’ve been teaching myself all of the advanced skills and expanding my work to include fabric, paint, sequin, watercolor and embroidery. I’m a full-time artist and loving it. I can’t wait to share all of what I know with you.

A little more about my art and teaching experience:

• Over 8 years beadwork experience.

• Taught several in-person beadwork workshops in Austin (pre-covid).

• Background in metalwork and taught metalsmithing for 2 years.

• Taught English in Paris though the French Embassy. I speak French! And Spanish!

• Worked in the Canadian government for over 5 years - so you know I’m organized!

• Teaching English as A Second Language certified and a freelance English tutor.

• Featured on Good Morning America and Telemundo for my artwork!

• A sincere passion for teaching and learning. It is my life’s calling.

• A calm and fun way of looking at the world and I’d love to share that with you!

Questions?

When does the class start? Class starts on October 1st. You will have access to all online classes at that time.

When will my kit arrive? Early bird kits will ship the week of September 21st. All other orders (after Sept 21) will ship 1-3 business days after you place your order.

Can I take this class with friends or family? Yes, virtual or in-person craft nights are encouraged! You can even add an extra beadwork kit with your order. Please note, all kits will ship to the same address.

How much does this class cost? Class costs $60 or $48 if you catch the Early Bird Special!

Can children take this class? Yes, as your kit includes small beads and sharp needles, adult supervision is strongly encouraged.
